Our lakes and property were part of the estate of Cadouzan a Chateau built during the 1300’s to 1500’s. The same family just kept handing it down via inheritance until the late 1800’s when it was sold to the families second cousins and it has been handed down again by inheritance since then. The part that we own was sold off in 2001. It is very likely that lake Cadouzan was used for fish for the table during much of that time. The earliest maps of France were made by a family named Cassini during the 1600’s above is a copy of a small part of the original and you can see lake cadouzan, Mill lake was dammed and built during the 1700’s for water to feed to a wheel for milling grain.
