Before your arrival and fishing trip at Brittany Mill Lakes, it is mandatory to have travel insurance in addition to your EHIC card.
You should arrange an individual travel or holiday insurance policy that covers the duration of your trip, starting from the day you commence your travel until the completion of your holiday.
Upon arrival at the fishery, you will be required to present the policy document to us. It is important to have the policy number and a UK emergency phone number of the insurance company printed on paper and readily available (please note that we cannot access details on locked phones or emails in case of an emergency).
IMPORTANT: If you arrive without a valid policy, you will not be allowed to fish or have access to the lakes until a policy is obtained (we do not sell insurance). The policy must be in printed form and not solely on your emails. The paramedics will require these documents before transporting you to the hospital for any necessary treatment.
There are no exceptions to this requirement. No policy, no fishing!
Travel or holiday insurance is readily available at affordable rates on the internet and can be found in most supermarkets.
Additionally, it is mandatory to possess a valid EHIC card issued by the national health in the UK. The EHIC card grants you free Accident/Emergency health treatment in Europe (excluding non-emergency treatment). It can be obtained online or from the post office, and it typically takes around 7 to 10 days to arrive. If you require medical treatment in France and do not have the EHIC card, the costs can be exceedingly high, and you will be required to make payments before receiving any treatment. We are unable to facilitate payment on your behalf.
